gener8tor partners with HCP and Irontek to support Beloit-founded early-stage startups

Local startups gain the opportunity to craft and pitch their idea for $1,750 in prizes

BELOIT, WI (March 13, 2023) — Global venture firm and startup accelerator gener8tor has joined forces with Hendricks Commercial Properties and Irontek to kick off gALPHA Beloit this month. This spring, participants of gALPHA will experience building a startup and presenting their idea for a pool of $1,750 in available prizes. Registration for the Spring 2023 gALPHA Beloit program is now open. Anyone interested in learning more about the program can reach out to Director, Anthony Swindell at anthony@gener8tor.com for more information.

The gALPHA accelerator is a free, four-week venture creation sprint designed to help entrepreneurially minded students, community members, and technologists create high-growth startups. gALPHA provides product ideas, mentorship, and coaching to individuals or teams, then works with them one-on-one for one month to help them develop an innovative and marketable product or solution.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Hendricks Commercial Properties and Irontek to create impactful businesses and startups right here in Beloit,” said Anthony Swindell, gALPHA director.

“We’ve seen the incredible economic impact of the gALPHA program in other communities, and we’re excited to find the next local entrepreneurs to continue that influence in our own.”

“Our partnership with gener8tor enables us to support our community further. We know there is great talent here, and the gALPHA program gives local entrepreneurs the confidence to take that leap forward,” said Erin Currier, Investment Manager for Irontek’s Grey Collar Ventures.

“We love our Beloit community and want to continue fostering startups and founders. Irontek is growing and we would love to welcome more businesses to join us,” added Kari Swirth, Community Manager at Irontek.
